Signs it is time to break up

How to break up kindly

Do it in person unless you feel unsafe. Be clear, short and honest: "I have decided to end our relationship." Do not list every fault, and do not leave false hope. Then give each other space; staying friends right away rarely works.

Questions people ask

How do I know if I should break up or work on it?

If both of you still want it, trust each other and the problems are about skills (communication, chores, time), work on it. If trust or respect is gone, or you want different lives, it is usually time to go.

Is it normal to have doubts in a relationship?

Yes, occasional doubts are normal. Constant doubt for months, or relief when imagining it ending, is a signal worth listening to.
